What counts as an operation?

1 operation per conversation turn — one for each message your agent receives, and one for each message you send proactively. AI replies, tool calls, and voice are included. You bring your own API key and pay your LLM provider directly.

End user messages, via any channel including API

Team messages

Proactive sends (scheduled followups, outbound campaigns)

Each extra 10s of processing time

Included with every operation

AI agent replies
Tool calls — however many the agent needs
Voice in and out (speech-to-text, text-to-speech)

What counts as a data operation?

Your organization can store structured data — records, relationships, and files your agents read and write, shared across all your agents. Data operations are a separate allowance from conversation operations, on the same plan and the same bill.

Creating, updating, or deleting a record, relationship, or file — 1 per row

A list, filter, or SQL query — 1

Reading a single record, relationship, or file — 0.1

Imports are free up to your monthly import allowance

Records are a hard limit rather than a meter: the records you already have keep serving, and new ones pause until you move to a plan with a higher limit. Every plan includes production access to your data.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between test and production agents?

Test agents are sandboxes for building, configuring, and trying out AI agents — unlimited on every plan. Production agents are the published version your end users actually talk to over WhatsApp, email, Instagram, or in-app chat. Only paid plans can publish a test agent to production or push updates to a published one. If you downgrade, you can't publish new agents or update existing ones until you re-upgrade, and production access may be limited or paused.

What happens when I hit my operation limit?

On the free plan, AI responses pause until your next billing cycle once you reach your limit — for new and existing conversations alike. Your team can still reply manually. You can upgrade your plan at any time, or — on the Team plan — add a Growth Pack to increase your limit.

What happens when I hit my data limit?

On a paid plan, data operations past your monthly allowance keep working and are billed at $1.00 per 1,000 (R$5.00) — capped at your included allowance over again, so your data spend can at most double, whatever plan and Growth Packs you are on. On the free plan they pause until your next cycle. Nothing is ever deleted. The record limit is different: it is a hard limit on every plan, so records you already have keep serving and new ones pause until you add a Growth Pack or move to a plan with a higher limit.

Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

What's the difference between admin, support, and end users?

Admin users manage your organization and its agents — they configure agents, channels, and billing. Support users are your team handling conversations alongside the AI — they step in when the AI hands off. End users are the people the AI talks to (customers, leads, employees). Only admin users count toward your seat limit — support and end users are unlimited and free.

Do I need a credit card for the free plan?

No. The free plan is fully functional with no credit card required. Upgrade when you're ready.

What does "bring your own API key" mean?

WayAI doesn't charge for LLM usage — you connect your own API key from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google and pay them directly. This gives you full control over model selection, rate limits, and costs.
